A STEP AHEAD

Lancaster-based D’Ambrosio Eye Care donated more than 100 pair of shoes to Narragansett Regional School District in Templeton. The school is working with Rerun Shoes to collect gently used shoes and will receive up to 50 cents per pound to use toward athletic expenses. Framingham-based MutualOne Bank donated $4,000 to Natick High School to purchase iPads for music classrooms. Fitchburg-based Workers’ Credit Union donated $25,000 to Community Health Connections of Fitchburg.   • Computer chip maker Intel of Hudson sponsored a home electronics recycling day for individuals and small businesses. Donations benefited United Way of Tri-County.

  • UniBank of Whitinsville sponsored Community Day at Worcester Art Museum on March 30.

  • Fitchburg-based IC Federal Credit Union donated $2,000 to Our Father’s House’s annual fund drive concert. The transitional shelter is located in Fitchburg.

  • Westborough-based staffing agency The Training Associates donated 5 percent of its 2013 profits
to charitable groups, such as Community HarvestProject in North Grafton.
