Pulse check: Top reported reasons for not being insured in Mass.
Massachusetts had an uninsurance rate of 3.7 percent in 2014, among the lowest in the nation. Those who remained uninsured cited the following as factors:
| Cost is too high | 75.3% |
| Don't know how to get insurance | 46.3% |
| Lost job or changed employers | 43.4% |
| Employer coverage not available | 40.7% |
| Lost eligibility for MassHealth or Commonwealth Care | 30.4% |
