Business groups recently lobbied Congress for passage of a bipartisan approach toward immigration reform that would enhance border security and create an eventual path to citizenship for those already in the country illegally if they meet certain conditions.
The proposal includes a work-visa program that would allow employers to bring up to 200,000 foreign workers into the U.S. each year on guest visas.
