United Way Grants $53K To Area Nonprofits

The United Way of Central Massachusetts said it has awarded $53,000 in grants to 14 nonprofit organizations in the region.

The so-called Fuller Grants, named after the Gorge F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation that provides them, will be spread out among the following organizations: The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance, Children’s Friend Inc., Community Legal Aid, the Edward M. Kennedy Health Center, Family Health Center of Worcester, Friendly House Inc., Girls Inc., Rainbow Child Development Center, Regional Environmental Council, Seven Hills Foundation, Valley Residents for Home Improvement, the Worcester Community Action Council and the YWCA.

The United Way said it will invest more than $5.7 million this year in the area through a variety of grant programs.
