Bitstream Spin-Off Starts Trading

Marlborough Software Development Holdings Inc., the company spun out by Marlborough's Bitstream Inc. to hold its web-to-print and mobile web browser businesses, began trading on the over-the-counter bulletin board today.

The new company is trading under the symbol MBGH.

The company was created as part of a reorganization of Bitstream. The remainder of Bitstream, which is focused on type fonts, is being merged with Woburn-based Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc. in a deal valued at $50 million. Bitstream shareholders were scheduled to vote on the merger today.

Marlborough Software Development Holdings consists of web-to-print division Pageflex and mobile web browser technology division Bolt.
