40 Under Forty winners (from left) Stephanie Weagle, William E. Aubuchon, IV, and Miriam Hyder

Since rejoining her family's business in 2013, Hyder marketed its specialty food to an expanding customer base, resulting in a 20-percent sales increase in her first year. Hyder worked at Mediterranean Marketplace since childhood, leaving for a decade after college to gain other experience, including for minor league baseball team Worcester Tornadoes and Friendly's Ice Cream.

Hyder served Discover Central Massachusetts and Worcester Local First, and as a coach at Girls, Inc. Hyder dishes about food with Jordan Levy and Jim Polito on the radio station WTAG.

Whose career would you like to emulate? Anthony "Spag" Borgatti – he built a business into a true destination, putting Central Mass. on the map.

What should older generations know about up-and-coming workforce? Young people bring new insight on how to reach today's consumer.

Where do you get motivation? I watched my father work tirelessly to build this firm for the 35 years I have been alive, and that inspires me to make it stronger and better every day.

If I hadn't gone down this career path, I would have liked to...be a cast member on "Saturday Night Live." A girl can dream, right?
