Marlborough medical device manufacturer ReWalk Robotics Ltd has hired Michael Lawless as its new chief financial officer.
Lawless started in his new position on Sep. 19 and will be based in the Marlborough office.
“Mike joined us after an extensive search process as he brought specific skills that we believe will lead our growth and expansion goals. He has extensive experience in conducting and implementing acquisitions as adding additional product offerings is an element in achieving revenue growth goals and getting to profitability with the capital we have on hand,” Jasinski said in an email to WBJ. “He also has worked and directed investor relations activities, which we are now expanding as the milestones on [the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services] coverage and with the German Federal court decisions are both reaching conclusions and may be drivers for the base business. He also has good depth to manage his finance team in a public company.”
ReWalk’s previous CFO was Ori Gon, who was promoted from corporate controller and had served in the CFO position since 2018. He had been based in Israel and left in February to become the CFO of Israel automobile technology company Tactile Mobility.
Lawless previously served as a CFO consultant for Danforth Advisors, LLC, in Waltham. Before that he was CFO for Brooks Life Sciences, which is now Azenta US, Inc. in Chelmsford
“The expected establishment by CMS of a benefit category for reimbursement of ambulation technology could enable ReWalk to provide access to our technology for many more spinal cord injury victims,” Lawless said in a press release. “Thanks to our strong balance sheet, we are well positioned to fund this organic growth and supplement it with accretive acquisitions.”
