$13M for Westborough office building

A nearly 80,000-square-foot office building at 1400 Computer Drive in Westborough has been sold for $13 million, according to Richards Barry Joyce & Partners of Boston.
According to RBJ, the building was sold to Morris & Morse Co. Inc. on behalf of an institutional client. The building has direct access to I-90 and I-495, and was originally developed as the northeast headquarters for General Electric.
Current tenants include the Center for Technology Commercialization, Competitive Edge Services and others.
The I-495 West office market, of which the 1400 Computer Drive property is part consists of nearly 17 million square feet of office space, and was 17.3 percent vacant as of June 30. The market has seen positive absorption for five consecutive quarters, according to RBJ.
