AMSC Reports Record Revenue, $7.3M Loss

Devens-based energy technology company American Superconductor Corp. reported a third quarter net loss of $7.3 million on revenue of $32.6 million.

For the same period in 2006, the company reported a net loss of $9.5 million on revenue of $9.5 million.

The company said its third quarter earnings included $2.9 million in restructuring charges related to the consolidation of its operations in Devens.

As of Dec. 31, the company had a backlog of about $168 million, not including the $25 million U.S. Department of Homeland Security HYDRA project in Manhattan.
