Leominster-based Rollstone Bank & Trust has named returning employee Daniel Kelser as senior vice president and commercial loan officer.

Kelser brings more than 25 years of experience in banking, with 20 of those years in commercial banking. He worked at Rollstone from 1999 to 2016, most recently as vice president and commercial loan officer, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He rejoins the bank after several years elsewhere in the banking industry, most recently at Worcester-based Bank State Bank, where he served as senior vice president, commercial banking officer.

Kelser's new role at Rollstone will involve collaborating closely with business clients, providing them customized lending solutions and financial advice, according to a Friday press release from Rollstone.

“It’s great to be back at Rollstone,” Kelser said in the press release. “This organization has always felt like home. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with customers and colleagues while continuing to help businesses thrive.”

Rollstone Bank & Trust announced it had completed its merger with Newburyport-based firm River Run Bancorp on July 1. This merger creates a combined entity with assets exceeding $3.6 billion and locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Kesler graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Nichols College in Dudley.

RBT has branch locations in Fitchburg, Groton, Harvard, Leominster, and Townsend, according to its website. The bank holds $689.6 million in local deposits and $930.3 million in assets, making it the 16th largest bank in Central Massachusetts when ranked by local deposits, according to information compiled by the WBJ Research Department.
