Clark specialist honored with third "star performer" award

Clark University Business Development Center advisor and financial specialist John E. Rainey has been named the Massachusetts Star Performer for the third time by the Association of Small Business Development Centers.
Rainey received the award in Denver in September.
The Westborough resident has worked at the center since 1995, and has helped more than 3,000 new, expanding and troubled businesses in the Worcester area. The center helps clients develop business plans, marketing plans and other business essentials.
Rainey secured more than $18 million in financing for clients in 2007.
