College Enrollment Up Between 2000-2006

Enrollment in two- and four-year colleges increased by 3 million between 2000 and 2006, according to new U.S. Census Bureau statistics.
According to the report, there were more students in college and high school in 2006 than there were in 2000, but fewer in nursery school, kindergarten and elementary school for the same period.
The surveys also found that 56 percent of college undergraduates and 59 percent of graduate students were women.
