Cutler Associates wins design award

American School & University magazine recently awarded Worcester-based Cutler Design an Outstanding Design citation for its renovation project at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley.
Cutler Design, the in-house architectural team at Cutler Associates, won the award for its renovation of Mead Hall, the college’s century-old student housing complex. Cutler reconfigured underutilized spaces to create new common areas, add student beds, and address accessibility concerns.
The 42,000-square-foot project was completed on time and on budget, the company said. The goal of the renovation was to make the improvements look as though they had always been a part of the buildings.
The magazine award recognizes architecture firms nationwide for educational interior design excellence.
