EB sustains contract modifications
Under a $7 million modified contract from the U.S. Navy, Electric Boat, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, will perform nuclear maintenance work for submarines in Groton. The contract, which originated in 2005, carries a potential value of $62 million dollars over the course of three years. Under the modified contract, 25 Electric Boat employees will remain at the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department at the sub base in Groton.
