Echo Plans Stock Listing

Franklin-based medical device manufacturer Echo Therapeutics is accelerating the launch of the company's non-invasive drug delivery system and has announced plans to list on a national trading exchange.

The company, along with its partners Fendale Pharma Group received feedback from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration which will require "minor" changes to the company's glucose monitoring system. Echo said the comments from the FDA were "expected" and will be addressed quickly.

In response to the feedback, the company is now accelerating plans for its other product, the Prelude SkinPrep System, which is a non-invasive transdemal drug delivery method. The company expects to begin earning revenues from that product by the third quarter of this year.

The company also announced it plans to apply for a listing on a national exchange.
