Employees Not Getting The Memo

Companies are communicating more with employees this year than they did last year, but the quality of that communication may not be as good as it can be, according to an OfficeTeam survey.

Executives and workers were asked whether the quantity of communications from management had increased over the last 12 months. Nearly 70 percent said communications had increased either somewhat or significantly.

However, only 38 percent of workers said the quality of information included in those communications had improved.

OfficeTeam, a temporary employment firm focused on administrative positions, said open discussion of company goals helps employees better understand their role in achieving those goals.
