Evergreen Solar Inc., a Marlboro-based manufacturer of solar power products, announced today that it has named Michael El-Hillow chief financial officer.
El-Hillow has served on the company's board of directors since 2004 and as chairman since 2005. El-Hillow has resigned from the board effective immediately with the annoncement of his new position.
Prior to his role at Evergreen, El-Hillow served as CFO at Advanced Energy Industries Inc., a Fort Collins, CO-based developer of power and control technologies. He held the role of CFO with Helix Technology Corp., now Brooks Automation, of Chelmsford. El-Hillow is also a certified public accountant, and was an audit partner with Ernst & Young.
Said Richard Feldt, Evergreen Solar president and CEO: "Having served on our board for more than two years, and most recently as chairman, Mike knows our business well, and we anticipate a seamless transition."
