Familiar Face Becomes OSV Exec.

Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge has appointed town resident, real estate agent and conservationist Carol A. Childress director of museum affairs.

In the position, Childress will be in charge of museum membership activities and donor relations. Childress is the founder of the Opacum Land Trust Inc. and was president of the 300-member organization for eight years. The trust protects natural resources in 13 towns in south-central Massachusetts.

While in college, Childress worked at OSV as a "tavern maid" at the museum's Bullard Tavern. The museum seeks to recreate life in a 19th Century New England farming village.
