Framingham State increases web capabilities

In an effort to maintain small class sizes and control costs, Framingham State College has employed a new web service to increase online offerings.

The school announced it will use the services of SunGard Higher Education, a software developer specializing in technology management services for colleges and universities.  By using SunGard software, the school can increase its offerings online and does not have to add additional staff.  The SunGard software incorporates a variety of departments' needs into one package, such as financial aid, finance and HR.  The software provider currently serves more than 1,600 institutions worldwide.

Framingham State College has seen its enrollment grow by 20 percent over the last nine years, and aims to maintain its current class sizes with the increased online offerings.
