Gas Prices Jump 9 Cents

Continuing their rise, Massachusetts gas prices are up 9 cents this week, to an average of $3.67 a gallon for self-serve, regular unleaded, according to AAA Southern New England.

According to the weekly survey, prices are up 20 cents in the past month, but the current price is 3 cents below the national average of $3.70. A year ago, the average price in Massachusetts was $3.66.

The range in prices for the Bay State is 30 cents, from a low of $3.55 to a high of $3.85.

The average price for diesel is up 6 cents from last week, to $3.87 a gallon.
