Gerber closes $6.2M acquisition
South Windsor-based Gerber Scientific has completed its acquisition of Data Technology, a Wilmington, Mass.-based manufacturer of automated cutting equipment for the package and graphics industry. Gerber paid $6.2 million for the company, much of it funded through a $10 million line of credit with Citizen's Bank. Data Technology has annual sales of just under $10 million. Gerber said it will begin integrating the companies' networks and operations next week.
