• John Dempsey Hospital at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington received a 2007 Premier/CareScience Select Practice National Quality award from Premier Inc. The hospital was judged on adverse outcomes, length of stay and patient risk assessment based on 16 clinical factors.
• Reid and Riege attorneys hosted a networking tailgate event before a UConn Homecoming football game at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. Two hundred attendees took part before watching the game against Louisville.
• Quinnipiac University’s School of Business was ranked among the top business schools in the country according to The Princeton Review. The college was featured in the 2008 edition of “Best 290 Business Schools.”
• The Connecticut Association of Schools presented Josephine Smith with the William Cieslukowski Outstanding First Year Principal award. Smith, principal at Dr. Ramon E. Betances Elementary school in Hartford, demonstrated outstanding leadership to receive the honor.
