Leadership Transition Announced At BJ's Wholesale

Natick-based BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. has promoted Laura Sen, a 15-year veteran of the company, to president and chief operating officer.

Sen, who was previously executive vice president of merchandising and logistics, has also been elected to the company’s board of directors. With her new title, Sen will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the company.

Herb Zarkin will remain chairman and CEO, leading the company’s strategic planning, management succession and chain expansion efforts. Zarkin has been president and CEO since March 2007, after serving as interim CEO beginning in November 2006.

BJ’s also announced plans to restructure its merchandizing division under the leadership of Christina Neppl, who will succeed Sen.
