Mass. Pending Home Sales Up In March

The number of single-family homes put under agreement in Massachusetts in March was up 27 percent compared to March 2009, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors said.
The number of condos put under agreement was up 38 percent.
The MAR said March was the ninth consecutive month of year-over-year increases in the number of homes put under contract.
March's heavy rainfall doesn't appear to have kept potential buyers from shopping and signing contracts, but it remains to be seen if the rainfall and flooding will have an impact on how many of those deals close, the MAR said.
Month-to-month, pending sales of single-family homes were up 37.8 percent compared to February. Pending condo sales were up 48 percent.
