Monster expects less 1Q revenue

Monster Worldwide Inc., parent of the Maynard-based online job and employee search service, said it expects first quarter revenue slightly below what it predicted in February.

Monster said it expects revenue between $328 million and $329 million for the quarter. The company's February 1 revenue outlook foresaw between $330 million and $338 million.

The company projected revenue for the entire 2007 fiscal year of between $1.36 billion and $1.41 billion.

Monster said it expects "continued rapid growth" in its international careers segment, and "reduced growth rates" in its North American careers and advertising and fees business.

The company expects to report full first quarter financial results April 26.
