Webster Five Cents Savings Bank has named SUZANNE SMILEY as vice president, business lending officer. She brings 20 years of diverse banking experience to Webster Five. Most recently, she held the position of vice president and commercial lending officer at Worcester-based Flagship Bank.
Worcester-based Quinsigamond Community College’s board of trustees approved the appointment of DALE ALLEN as the college’s first vice president for community engagement. He has worked in higher education for 15 years, specializing in advancing the connections between colleges and the various communities with which they interact — schools, businesses, elected officials, and neighborhoods, among others. Most recently, he was the director of institutional strategy at the Cecil Group in Boston.
CHRISTOPHER JONES and MICHAEL OKENQUIST have been named partners at Paresky Flitt and Co. LLP, an accounting firm located in Wayland. Jones, who most recently served as an associate at Paresky Flitt, has been with the firm since 2004. Okenquist joined the firm in 2000.
PATRICK HARVEY has joined the GFA Federal Credit Union as branch manager of its new Ashburnham location. Harvey brings years of experience in the financial services industry with strengths in lending, business development, and member service. The credit union has opened a temporary branch at 55 Main St. in Ashburnham to serve members until the permanent branch is completed. The permanent location is expected to open in early 2009.
JOANN PIEDRAFITE has joined Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester as executive director of the Center for Musculoskeletal Services. In her new position, she will oversee the day-to-day operations of the center. Piedrafite is a certified orthopedic nurse.
Paxton-based Anna Maria College has added TIMOTHY MORROW as admissions counselor. He is a graduate of Assumption College and prior to joining AMC he worked as a legislative aid to Rep. Paul Kujawski (D-Webster). KRISTEN COFFEY has joined AMC as transfer counselor. She is a graduate of Bentley College and received her MBA from Assumption College. Prior to joining AMC, she served as the recreation director for the Town of Paxton.
Clinton Savings Bank is pleased to announce that KEVIN DENORSCIA has joined its commercial lending department as assistant vice president. He was most recently assistant vice president and business development officer at Leominster Credit Union. Previously, he worked in similar positions for Banknorth, Millbury Federal Credit Union and MetroWest Bank.
Hometown Bank in Oxford recently announced its elected board members. Officers elected to the Hometown Bank board were: ROBERT DUTEAU, chairman; WINDSOR BIGELOW, vice chairman; MATTHEW S. SOSIK, president, CEO, treasurer, executive vice president and CRA officer; SAM S. PAPPAS, first vice president; and JAMES O’COIN, second vice president. The following positions were also filled: JONATHAN OGLEBAY, assistant treasurer; MICHAEL MAHLERT, vice president and compliance officer; JOHN NUTTER, security officer; NORMA COLLINS, Bank Secrecy Act officer and PAULA LEWIS, clerk of the board of directors.
Leominster-based Fidelity Bank has appointed JOSEPH SOVA senior vice president of commercial lending. He recently graduated from the American Banker’s Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking in Philadelphia. He has been with Fidelity Bank since 2001. n
