Partnership for environmental testing

Environmental Resource Associates, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waters Corp. in Milford, is partnering with Scott Specialty Gases to implement an air and emissions proficiency testing program.
The partnership would allow analytical laboratories performing emissions tests in compliance with state and federal regulations to sight the standards and use the regulated program and study of a single proficiency testing provider.
Such a streamlined process did not previously exist.
Under the terms of their partnership, Scott will provide volatile organic testing standards and Environmental Resource Associates will administer them along with its own air and emissions standards. Environmental Resource Associates will be responsible for selling the standards and conducting studies for laboratories.
"Air proficiency testing is something that analytical laboratories, regulators and end users have been requesting for some time," said Dr. Carl Craig, president of Environmental Resource Associates. "This air program allows us to provide a more comprehensive suite of standards and studies to our customers," he said.
