The U.S. Court for the Eastern District of Texas has entered a final judgment in favor of Boxborough-based SynQor, ending a patent dispute between the company and 11 other firms.
The final judgment, issued by the court Aug. 18, awarded SynQor more than $1.45 million in pre- and post-judgment interests. It also denied the defendants' motions to set aside the earlier jury verdict.
A jury awarded SynQor more than $95 million in damages in December 2010. That award was later supplemented by an additional damage award of more than $17 million.
SynQor brought its patent action against 11 companies that operate in the electrical component space, alleging that the firms were infringing on one or more of five patents owned by SynQor.
"We are confident that this award will also be upheld in the event of an appeal," said Martin F. Schlecht, president and CEO of SynQor, in a press release.
