Officials from Worcester's Quinsigamond Community College gathered in Marlborough this morning to thank local officials for hosting the school's new satellite campus at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School.
Earlier this summer, when the school announced the expansion into Marlborough, it planned to offer a one-year certificate program in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) services, as well as a non-credit program focusing on photovoltaic and solar studies.
The school also planned to offer its joint business-themed programs at the site with Dudley-based Nichols College. That program allows students to receive a baccalaureate degree after taking three years of courses at QCC and a fourth year at Nichols. That same program is offered at QCC's Worcester and Southbridge campuses.
