That personal touch

A majority of senior executives and managers say their organizations would be more productive if their superiors talked to them in person, according to a survey conducted by New Hampshire-based NFI Research.

NFI surveyed 155 senior executives and managers.

Executives and managers want in-person conversations with their superiors, the survey found. The number one method of office communication is e-mail.

"With more and more communication being done electronically, businesses can easily lose that critical personal touch," said Chuck Martin, CEO of NFI Research.
