Trade Deficit Up To $40B In March

The nation's international trade deficit increased to $40.4 billion in March from $39.4 billion in February, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Exports increased to $147.9 billion in March from $143.3 billion the prior month. The export of goods increased to $102.7 billion in March from $98.5 billion in February. The export of services increased to $45.2 billion from $44.8 billion.
Imports increased to $188.3 billion in March from $182.7 billion a month earlier. Goods were $155.6 billion compared to $149.6 billion. Services were $32.7 billion compared to $33.1 billion in February.
