UMass Med. School Measures Up For Magazine

Worcester's University of Massachusetts Medical School has found itself at lucky number 13 on U.S. News & World Report's ranking of primary care medical schools.

UMass Medical School tied with Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire, University of Wisconsin in Madison and Washington University in St. Louis.

The magazine also ranked schools based on research criteria. UMass Medical School was ranked at number 51 on that list. Harvard University in Boston was number 1 in terms of research and number 7 for primary care.

U.S. News and World Report also ranked graduate schools in the following categories: business, engineering, law and education.

The rankings are available online today and the magazine hits newsstands on Monday.
