Verizon’s 4G Headed To Central Mass.

Verizon Wireless plans to bring its 4G network to 11 communities in Central Massachusetts, including Worcester.

The 4G network is supposed to deliver faster download speeds for wireless phones and devices. The next-generation network is already established in 40 other major markets and Verizon plans to expand it to an additional 145 markets by the end of 2011.

Verizon’s local network expansion will cover the following communities by the end of the year:

Auburn

Bolton

Grafton

Milford

Millbury

Northborough

Paxton

Shrewsbury

Southborough

Westborough

Worcester
