Corporate Environmental Advisors Inc. of West Boylston has been certified as a woman-owned business by the state Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance.
The company, which has been in business nearly 25 years and under the majority ownership of Deborah N. Migirdichian since 2004, said it has a number of clients and potential clients that prefer to contract with companies that are minority or woman-owned.
Migirdichian joined the company in 1988 as an accountant and became majority owner at the same time she was promoted to director, treasurer and CFO. In 2006, she became the environmental services company's sole director, president and CEO.
Steven Migirdichian, who stepped aside to allow Deborah Migirdichian to become CEO, is now CEA's vice president of business development. He also runs a related commercial real estate development, leasing and management company that focuses on brownfield sites.
