Worcester Doc Named Mass. Med. Society VP

Young

Lydia M. Young, a pediatrician with Chandler Pediatrics in Worcester and chief of the division of community pediatrics at UMass Memorial Medical Center, has been elected vice president of the Massachusetts Medical Society.

The professional association represents more than 21,000 physicians, residents and medical students in the state.

Young has served in a variety of leadership positions in the medical community. She has been president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and of the Worcester District Medical Society.

She is also an alternate delegate tot eh American Medical Association and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
