WSI Energycast Outlook calls for warm NE winter

Weather-predictor WSI Corp. expects a warmer than normal winter season across the northern two-thirds of the country. The Andover-based firm says January, February and March will all be warmer than normal, as reflected by a standard 30-year frame of reference for normal.

The higher temperatures will affect key heating demand areas across the country’s northern tier, WSI predicts. The weather should be “very bearish” for natural gas prices in March, WSI predicts with lower natural gas prices and lower loads with warmer temeperatures translating into lower power prices in most regions.
