Outstanding Women in Business 2019

Outstanding Women in Business is Worcester Business Journal’s most selective award. While other honors like 40 Under Forty or Best of Business generate plenty of buzz, the 66 women who have been given the OWIB award in its 11 years are members of our most exclusive group, as typically only 10-15% of nominees each year are selected. This year, WBJ received 65 nominations for 45 nominees.

One factor above all is what elevates the OWIB winners from the rest of the nominees: Mentoring other women, either directly or indirectly. All of the women in the below links – just like the 60 other OWIB winners before them – have achieved that career level where they can impart wisdom on other female professionals through both advice and by setting an example, lifting up other women as the fight for equality in the workplace and on payrolls rages on.
