Fresh off a successful mission to right the ship at Worcester’s Wormtown Brewery before its April 2024 sale to the owners of Jack’s Abby, Golinski made a large career transition a month later when she was announced the next president of the Worcester Railers.

While she took care to understand the Railer’s ecosystem before cautiously making any changes, the results have spoken for themselves. Under her first season at the helm, the minor league hockey franchise bucked its old trend of declining attendance, drawing 4,000 fans per game to the DCU Center, compared to 3,666 in 2023-24.

While she seemingly brought new energy to the team’s operations, she’s most proud of its off-the-ice impact. In April, the Railers launched an employee-giving program, an initiative she developed allowing staff to choose a nonprofit to receive a $1,000 donation from the team. The result has been $20,000 in direct support to Central Massachusetts organizations.

On top of the monetary donations, Golinski captains the franchise’s efforts to provide no-cost entertainment to youngsters through its Railers’ Skate to Success program, something she was already involved in even before she joined the organization.
