It’s out with Van Gogh, in with the new, as “Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience” is heading to Worcester’s Mercantile Center in September.

The immersive experience features 360-degree projections, interactive exhibits, and other attractions paying tribute to the 19th century French Impressionist painter. The experience is run by Belgium-based Exhibition Hub Entertainment, the same company behind the Vincent Van Gogh immersive experience at the site since November.

Born in Paris in 1840, Monet is considered one the founder of the Impressionist art movement, characterized by paintings which prioritize bright, pure colors, and quick brush strokes, according to the website for The National Gallery in London.

Many of Monet's most famous paintings depict landscapes or architecture, with water lilies being a frequent subject of later works. Like Van Gogh, Monet’s work peaked in popularity in the decades following his death.

Bookings are available starting Sep. 11 and through the end of November. Ticket prices vary based on the day, but start at $23.90 for adults and $19.90 for children, plus fees. The exhibit is open Thursdays through Mondays. More information can be found here

The venue is handicap accessible and open to all ages, with those under the age of 17 needing to be accompanied by an adult.

The immersive exhibit featuring Monet has previously operated in cities including Washington D.C., Los Angeles, London, Belfast, and Hamburg, according to its website.
