Dr. John Tumolo, a cardiologist with Southbridge-based Harrington HealthCare System, won this year's Total Local Care Award, or TLC Award. He was nominated by fellow physicians for embodying the system's core values, such as reliability and availability. Dr. Tumolo, who has been at Harrington for almost 30 years, is also an associate professor of medicine at UMass Medical School.

Southbridge-based Harrington HealthCare System scored an A-minus for patient safety in a nationwide study by the Leapfrong Group, which rates health-care systems. Public data was collected from more than 2,500 hospitals.

Wayland-based DestinationWeddings.com was given a Best of the Best Globe Award for the second straight year by Travel Impressions, a national travel tour operator. DestinationWeddings.com is part of the Destination Weddings Travel Group.

Dr. Eric Dickson, president and CEO of UMass Memorial Health Care, was on Becker's Hospital Review list of 300 Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know. In August, he was named to Becker's “130 Non-Profit Hospital and Health System CEOs to Know” list.

The Training Associates staffing agency of Westborough was named a Top 20 IT Training Company for 2013 by TrainingIndustry.com. Criteria included innovation in IT training and company growth potential.

Milford-based WMRC-First Class Radio won Station of the Year honors by the Mass. Broadcasters Association for the second year in a row, and its fifth overall. The station also won the Best Use of Digital Media Award this year for its work on the WMRC Local Music Awards.

Andrew Abu, Alicia Abu, Pat Anderson, Shannon Curll, Patrice Hack, Michael Howard and Cheryl Raymond earned the CBR Certified Buyer Representative certification after a three-day course. All are Realtors with Andrew Abu Corp., a real estate firm in Westborough.

D.M. Moschos, a senior partner with Worcester-based law firm Mirick O'Connell, was given the 2013 Cushing-Gavin Labor-Management Counsel Award by the Labor Guild of the Archdiocese of Boston. Each year, the guild salutes four labor relations professionals in Massachusetts for their commitment to labor-management relations, professional competence and other criteria.

Worcester-based Tantara Corp., an environmental and construction services firm, was chosen along with its large-business mentor, Jacobs Engineering Group of Providence, for this year's Nunn-Perry Award for Mentor-Protégé Excellence. The award is given each year by the Department of Defense's Office of Small Business Programs.
