Framingham-based Ameresco Inc. reported a 17-percent annual increase in revenue and a more than 14-percent jump in net income in its most recent quarterly report.
Ameresco, which provides energy efficiency and renewable energy products and services throughout North America, took in $165.5 million in revenue during the second quarter of 2011, compared with $141.4 million in the same quarter last year. Meanwhile, it reported net income of $8.8 million, up from $7.7 million.
Through the first half of the year, revenue was up 26.3 percent to $311.9 million over the same period in 2010, but net income soared even higher, up 57.1 percent to $14.1 million.
In a statement, Ameresco cited more energy efficiency projects - driven by budget constraints and higher energy costs - as a key driver behind its growth.
