Ameresco To Save Energy In Anchorage

Ameresco Inc., the Framingham-based energy contractor, inked a $589,000 deal to improve energy efficiency at parking garages in Anchorage, Ala.
Ameresco officials will replace lighting fixtures in four separate parking facilities in the city, which is expected to save the city more than 1 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year.
Anchorage is paying for the upgrades through a grant from the federal Department of Energy. The savings produced will offset the costs of the installation within five years.
