Office building near UMass Chan campus sells for $2.3M to two addiction treatment executives

A two-story medical and professional office building on Worcester’s Belmont Street near the campus of UMass Chan Medical School has sold for $2.29 million.

The property, located at 416 Belmont St. and containing a 12,915-square-foot building, was sold in a deal finalized on Sep. 19, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records. 

The property was purchased by an entity managed by Jack Maroney and Kirill Vesselov, according to a Sep. 24 press release from Worcester-based real estate firm Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates. 

Maroney is the manager member at Lake Avenue Recovery, an addiction treatment firm with locations in Worcester and Gardner, according to his LinkedIn profile. Maroney is the developer behind a 491-unit apartment complex on Grafton Street in Worcester. Vesselov is the CEO of Haven Health Management, a network of addiction treatment centers based in Florida, according to its website. 

The building will continue to hold programs in the medical and behavioral health space, with tenant Novella Infusion Services remaining at the site, according to the press release.  

The property was sold by 416 Belmont Realty, Inc., a Worcester-based entity managed by Jon Vangos.

Brian Johnson and Drew Higgins of Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates represented the seller and procured the buyer in this transaction.

The two-story building sits on a half-acre site, with the parcel receiving a 2025 tax assessment value of $1.41 million, according to City of Worcester property records.
