Anna Maria Is Coming To Worcester

Officials from Anna Maria College in Paxton were expected to announce plans this morning to open a satellite campus in Worcester as well as to expand its main campus in order to accommodate expected growth in enrollment.

The college is currently working with the City of Worcester on identifying a site for the satellite location, which will house graduate and continuing education classes.

The expansion at the college’s main campus includes adding more undergraduate programs, new athletic facilities and new housing. The school also plans to hold its 2008 graduation at the Hanover Theatre for Performing Arts in Worcester, which is expected to open next spring.

The growth at the private liberal arts college is part of the school’s five-year strategic plan. Anna Maria has approximately 810 full- and part-time students.
