Barnes opens Shanghai sourcing center
Bristol-based Barnes Group said it has opened an international sourcing center in Shanghai. Barnes already has a sourcing center in Taiwan, both of which will cover the Asian market and focus on key products such as fasteners, electrical components and transportation products. The opening of the center is part a larger strategy within Barnes, nicknamed "Project Catalyst," to streamline and grow its distribution business.
