Barnes revamps Utah factory
Bristol-based Barnes Group Inc. announced plans to double the size of a key aerospace manufacturing facility in Ogden, Utah. The revamped, 120,000-square-foot factory will be used to manufacture engine parts and airframe components for airplanes. The facility is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2008. Barnes said it picked the Ogden site for an expansion to take advantage of the "favorable business environment" offered by the State of Utah and City of Ogden, which has created a dedicated aerospace cluster.
