Biggest pay raises found overseas
Pay raises for American professionals this year will be as much as eight times smaller than those for their counterparts in China, India and Eastern Europe, a difference driven largely by the fast-paced growth in those countries, predicts Philadelphia-based consultants the
Hay Group
. United States-based administrative, professional and senior management employees will see increases of just 1.4 percent, versus roughly 8 percent those other economies. Those numbers, which are adjusted for inflation, are based on employers' projections, Hay Group said.
