Drivers at a Bellingham-based Dunkin' Donuts supplier are threatening to strike over what the union claims are stalled negotiations.
Teamsters Local 25 said in a press release that the Northeast DCP, a franchisee-owned supplier, is negotiating in bad faith and that contract negotiations have gone on for nearly a year with little progress.
In its own press release, the Northeast DCP said the negotiations have already yielded 32 tentative agreements on various issues. The company called on the Teamsters to call off strike threats and accept additional negotiation dates.
Local 25, which says it represents more than 200 drivers and helpers at the supplier, said the strike would shut down Dunkin' Donuts operations throughout the Northeast. The Northeast DCP said it is making preparations to keep deliveries going in the event of a strike.
