Covergence, a Maynard-based provider of border-control devices allowing users to connect to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, has named William Reid vice president of sales.
Reid comes to Covergence from Juniper Networks, a Sunnyvale,CA-based company specializing in building IP platforms where he served as vice president of Sales, Session Border Controllers. Prior to that, he was vice president of worldwide sales for Kagoor Networks, a company later acquired by Juniper in 2005. Reid has also held positions with Luminous Networks, Cisco Systems, and Racal-Datacom Inc.
In his position with Covergence, Reid will lead worldwide sales efforts, helping the company to expand its sales and marketing efforts, as well as enhancing its sales channel strategy. Said Reid: "I'm looking forward to developing the next phase of Covergence's sales strategy that will further its technology and product excellence and help drive the company's continued success."
