CVS Has Prescription For Park Ave.
CVS is building a new store at the corner of May Street and Park Avenue in Worcester.
In a deal brokered by Worcester's Glickman, Kovago & Co., Woonsocket, R.I.-based CVS/Caremark Corp. bought a property at 82 May St. and leased another at 400 Park Ave. The company plans to build a 12,900-square-foot store, with a scheduled opening in early 2009.
The May Street property, which the company purchased from Mesala Inc., was previously the home of Quality Muffler & Brake, which has relocated to Jacques Street. The Park Avenue property was previously the Cactus Pete Restaurant. CVS is leasing the location from Commercial Management Inc. of Worcester.
